I think I mentioned earlier that my dogs got some botched up grooming jobs.
Grooming your Doodle is super important. They need to be groomed every 4 to 8 weeks, depending on how well you take care of their fur every day. You will need a nice slicker brush. I love the wooden one from Petco. It’s reasonable and is soft enough to use on your puppy and sturdy enough to get out tangles and mats. They do make a dematting comb, which can be really handy for little tangles near the ears and behind their lower legs. But, if you keep up on your brushing daily or every few days- depending on your dogs coat- your dog will be in great shape when you take it to your groomer. Another product that I love is “Cowboy Magic”. I get the detangled. You can leave it in or rinse out. It is a horse product, but it does wonders on a Goldendoodle Coat. It makes it sooooo soft. If you live on the west side of Phoenix I highly recommend Spoiled Rotten Grooming Salon in Youngtown. She makes all of my dogs beautiful and always does exactly what I ask for. Ruth has been grooming for years in her home, but has recently opened her brand new shop. I will see if I can figure out how to attach a picture of our Poodle, Charlie.
