We are beyond thrilled with our adorable Small Standard Poodle Prince Charles, “Charlie” for short. We have been looking for a Small Red Poodle for quite some time. Charlie is a perfect mixture of Standard Poodle and Miniature Poodle. His expected weight is 30lbs. Charlie comes from 4 generations of red genes , which are non-fading. He does have a Grandfather who is a red and white parti. He has a gorgeous, soft wavy loose curled coat. We expect for there to be a variety of apricot and red puppies, likely with white abstract markings. But, the best part about Charlie is he has a wonderful temperament! He is sweet, cuddly, loving and easy-going. We are in love with our beautiful boy and can’t wait to see his first litter of puppies. So, we expect the puppies to have the same soft curls that our last two litters have had, along with excellent temperaments. They will likely be non-shedding. We will keep you updated……..
On another note, all of the dogs got terrible haircuts! Charlie has a flat top and it is horrendous! I may have mentioned this earlier. I am not a groomer, but I attempted to fix his face up a little bit, but I’m afraid we are just going to have to wait for it to grow out. Daisy put quite a bit of weight on after her last litter of puppies. Even after the 17 pups she had been taking care of went on to their new homes, she was still eating for 10:) LOL!! My son has been taking her hiking regularly, so she can trim down a little bit before her next litter. He took her to Sedona this past weekend and she was less than thrilled with the snow….. She did sport a cute sweater that helped to hide her hideous haircut. We are going to have to shave down all of their faces, the hair is so uneven. We are “Poodling” our Doodles, but don’t worry their coats will soon grow out again.
